Antique Sessions 8 day Key Wind Mantle Clock includes Key & Pendulum – Beautiful Working Condition! Circa 1912-1920 Over 100 years old & in beautiful working condition. You can tell from the photos that this Sessions clock has been gently cared for with just a couple of small dings on the top surface. (see last photo) • Sessions Mantle Clock - Circa1912-1920 • Unique E.N. Welch Design • Adamantine veneer with black ebony finish • 6 green front fluted columns • Faux green marbleized wood above columns and front & side platform • Decorative scroll style engraving in the wood around the clock face & on the bottom front panel • Ornate Victorian style cast metal feet & side handles • Cast metal pendulum with image imprinted on the front. • The clock face reads: “Made by The Sessions Clock Co.. Forestville, Conn. U.S.A.” ABOUT THIS CLOCK (I will include a detailed copy of instructions with the clock) • Brass mechanical 8-day “Time and Strike” key-wound spring movement. For smooth continuous running – wind on a specific day of the week. Do not overwind! • Traditional Cathedral coil spring gong chime strikes the correct number of times on the hour. I do not recommend having in your bedroom. (I tried this & woke up every hour!) • A bell chime strikes a single note once on the half hour. INSTRUCTIONS: • Setting the Hands: When setting the clock to time, move the minute hand, pausing at each hour and half-hour for the clock to strike. Never move the hands counter-clockwise past 6 or 12. • Clock Setup: Place the clock where it is to be used, on a stable, level surface. Open the back and hang the pendulum on the hook (on many clocks the hook is behind the dial), give the pendulum a swing, and the clock will start ticking. Surface must be level or Pendulum may stop swinging. • To Wind: Use large end of key to wind both springs –Right & Left - on the front face of the clock. (see photo) Do not overwind! • Accuracy: The other end of key is used to increase or decrease ‘speed’ at the clock face top. You will see “F” to turn left to increase the speed & “S” to slow the clock in slight increments. (see photo) Should keep time within 4 minutes per week. • Maintenance: The clock should have a tune up & maybe just a bit of oiling to keep it running smoothly at least every 2 -3years. This should be done right after the clock has been picked-up by buyer. Length: 14.5 inches Width: 5.5 inches Height: 10.5 inches Weight Approximately 9 lbs
