This listing is for a Western Union Clock, made by the Self Winding Clock Co (NY). Used in railroad and other offices where accurate time was critical, these clocks were maintained on Naval Observatory time via telegraph. The clock uses 2 dry cell batteries (or modern equivalents, not included) to self wind the pendulum. According to our source of this estate item, the clock was working however, as with any vintage clock, it needs service and maintenance for proper functioning.
