Diamond Shape Ornate Vintage Wall Clock, Key Wound, 8 Day, 21", 1960's Beautiful Vintage Wall Clock from the 1950s. Made by Syroco Company. Key Wound 8 Day Clock. Very ornate. Floral & Leafs trim around Clock. Round glass door over face of clock that open to wind.Clock is made from heavy poly resin and Metal Measures, 21" Clock is fully functional.Winds well & Keeps good time. Comes with Key. Mixed materials. Composite wood pulp poly-resin and metal.
It is about 3 inches deep. The glass face opens so you can wind it. Some minor wear due to age.
Demand led to innovation as Syroco developed a process to make products that looked like wood but were actually made with wood pulp and fillers. The wood pulp was mixed with flour as a binder along with other materials to make it stronger. The result was a composite that could be molded into desired shapes to simulate carved wood.
