Collectibles / Decorative Collectibles / Clocks / Desk, Mantel & Shelf Clocks
After half a century, this 15”x11”x4” green resin and river pebble clock makes a very unusual and cool decorative item. Also a great gift for anyone you know that is hard to shop for and who appreciates anything "different". These clocks were made in many styles and shapes as well as colors. Honestly, the reds and blues look terrible as its too strange a color. Earth tones or natural colors fit best in my opinion. Green just fits something named a "vomit clock" the best. The Lanshire Clock Company in Illinois started right after WW2 and lasted until about 1990 though business was hit by the recession of the 1970s and never came back in the 1980s as several foreign made clock companies took a large share of the business. Vomit clocks are made from a resin material and can be filled with stones, metal scrap, nuts + bolts or even coins. many did not last or cracked because the resin becomes brittle if exposed to UV light for long periods. So a sunny shelf or desk top was the worst thing. Appears to have minor cracking, hard to see on the bottom front. See photos for more details any questions please feel free to contact us.
