Condition is pre-owned, cosmetically this is one of the best Gilbert mantel clocks you'll see, does have minor small scuffs and scratches from previous use but this is expected after all the clock is a little over a hundred years old. Clock is fully functional with no issues and is complete with all moving parts.
Clock has been wound for shipping purposes and upon arrival will have to be set to the correct time, simply follow the directions on the inside rear door panel if you do not feel comfortable doing so I would suggest taking it to a clock repair shop so they can't set it for you.
This vintage Gilbert 1807 mantle clock is a stunning piece of history. Crafted in the early 20th century, it features an exquisite humpback shape and a stained finish of black walnut and light tan accent. The clock is powered by a mechanical spring movement and has Arabic numerals for timekeeping.
The clock boasts several features including pendulum/moving parts, wind up, striking/repeating, chimes, and handmade/hand carved details. It also comes with a key and bob dual chime and is in excellent working condition.
