This is a listing for a very rare Mid 20th Century - DAWN FRANCE Glass Crystal Spire Clock. The glass crystal spire measures approximately 20 inches tall - 4½ inches wide at the base front - 4 inches deep and 2¼ inches at the base back. - Metal Triangle with clock attached to spire front measure approximately 8¼ inches across. It is etched signed "Dawn France" along the bottom front of the crystal spire. There are also two manufacturer stickers on the bottom of the clock spire base.
The clock face is analog with the clock mechanism being Swiss made. Clock is working just as it should. Recommended batteries according to the sticker on the action are listed as either a vintage Mallory ZM 9 or Eveready E9 battery - but we have had the clock working smoothly for hours on a standard AA battery (No batteries are included)
Clock is still in very nice overall condition, but does show some small damages / flaws from both age and storage wear. These include some minor corner / edge chips on the bottom edge, some scratches / small wear spots to the metal clock triangle and a stress "ripple crack" by one of the three metal screw base posts for the metal clock triangle. This is from that base post and one other coming loose from the glass / crystal spire over time. Third post is still secure and clock does not come off the spire.
