Shreve Crump & Low Co. Boston This vintage Bow Front Shreve Crump & Low Boston I have the oldest jewelers in the nation originally located in the store across from Paul revere’s. This is a MEDAILLE D'ARGENT French made 4 glass mant el clock comes as shown. This is the same maker that made mantel clocks for Tiffany and Co. Its about 11" tall and a beautiful classic clock...The clock features a very heavy brass case with a nicely detailed face, the original mercury pendulum and winding key. The clock does shows moderate wear throughout, including crystal panels look very nice may have minor chipping but I don't see any but I am sure there is some very small ones, very nice curved front bowed glass and beveled glass throughout, gives a it a very custom antique look, and is much more rare then the flat front clocks, there is obviously wear to the brass finish and its unpolished for many years as long as its been in my family/ The Clock is marked France or MADE IN FRANCE on the Face, Case, and movement. I was given this by a relative and I am trying to lighten the collection for an upcoming move. The face does show some fading from sun exposure but still looks very nicely vintage. I have wound the clock, and gently moved the pendulum and it worked for several minutes before stopping, it is being sold as is and needs some attention as its not working properly. The movement appears to be in excellent shape from the pictures, but I have no idea what it would need. Its very solid and heavy and weighs 9lbs. I was told this clock was most likely produced sometime in the late 1800's . Shreve Crump & Low is one of America's oldest jewelers in business in Boston since 1796 and were purveyors of the finest timepieces of the time. If anyone knows more about this unique clock please email I would love to know the history. Shipping to contiguous states only..USA only. I have taken a magnet to the case it is non-magnetic
