SETH THOMAS 8 day spring clock , City Series , CHICAGO , 17 1/2’’ high.
I am not a clock person so I may miss identify parts etc.
This clock is one of many that belonged to my friends father, who fixed them as a hobby . He passed away and I am selling them as is .
Overall condition of the case is fair to good with the damage on the sides most are an easy fix . Not sure if there should be a picture/design in the bottom circle, if so it’s missing
Please look at the pictures for what is included . I believe it’s all there and just needs adjusting.
I found two things of interest ,the way the door is locked using the winding key , and the brass circle , with Roman numerals located behind the hands . In researching this clock I found that very few had them .
If you have any questions please ask but do not use technical terms since I will not understand them.
Another thing I don’t understand is the oriental letters carved or burnt into the back of the clock as seen in the last pic.
No guarantee on the glass arriving unbroken but will do my best in packing it.
