RARE IMHOF GREEN GLOW-IN-DARK ROTATING SPHERE CLOCK - 75/845 TEMPUS FUGIT SWISS Rare IMHOF Tempus Fugit Swiss Rotating Sphere Annular 8-Day Clock - 75/845 Mechanical Movement - This unusual and fantastic example is an Imhof 8 day Swiss clock.  The Rarity lies in it's Green Color and the fact that it Glows In The Dark.  I have not been able to locate another like this online. I do not know what the Green Globe is made from but it is a heavy material similar to say , Bakelite or Ceramic Material. At some point it seems Movado started to produce these also. The clock has been working fine for me for years now and I took great measures not to over wind it. The movement is horizontally housed in the split Green sphere, the hour wheel rotating the lower hour hemisphere and the minute wheel driving the upper minute hemisphere. Wound from the cylinder under the sphere. The time is set by rotating the hemispheres and is indicated by alignment of the hours and the minutes with a vertical indicator. Measures 7" high. Conclusion: A rare, optically well-preserved piece possibly for collectors, connoisseurs, lovers, watchmakers or for decorative purposes.
