This clock is quite gorgeous featuring a lacquered wooden vase, bronze ornamentation throughout, a 2 tone dial, and an 8 bell triple fusee movement
The clock is signed on the movement and dial by Boxell of Brighton
The clock has quarter strike features in which the 8 bells play a tune
This clock is huge and extremely heavy.
16 x 9.75 x 22.5 inches.
Just to get a sense of the immense size, the movement plates are about 7.75 x 9.25 inches
The clock appears to be in overall good condition.
The movement is was last serviced in 2017
It ran when recently tested.
There are some signs of normal wear and age such as a few minor repaired cracks in the wood from age. The door key is included, but the latch might need some slight adjustments to enable it to close more easily
