This is a vintage (circa 1950s-1960s) painted clock, a tradition of the Black Forest and highly collectible. It is called Lackschilduhr or Lacquer Sheild clock. It has a cuckoo clock movement, and brass pendulum and weights.
The clocks movement has been rebuilt to original standards and offers the opportunity to own an exceptionally unique time piece that will run merrily for years to come.
The clock is painted with an alpine scene. There is some wearing of paint, as befitting a 70+ year old clock.
