1900-1910 Nautical Mantle Parlor Waterbury Clock Company NY has the famous stamped patent Jan 1891 inside the clock which is likely dated to early 20th century. Waterbury Only made a small amount of these Dutch & Chinese style delft blue and white style mantle clocks as they were infamous for the intricate wood finishes, so this style is a Difficult to Find Porcelain Collectors clock from a collector. This is also a unique wardrobe shaping with wonderful curves and embellished edging. Considered large for a mantle clock as it is over 12 inches. The collector estate this clock came from had the ORIGINAL required 2 keys taped inside, but we are unsure of the inner springs condition HAS NOT BEEN TESTED for working parts. Obtained from prestigious collectors' estate but we are unsure if it keeps time or works, however, it is a beautiful decor piece that does come with the keys. Please message me for more photos if you desire. Clock is very typical There is a crack on the one side, which I took several photos of, but based on the similar clocks available over the last few years in auctions, this one is still in relatively good condition. Wood on bottom is a great indication that this clock was well stored and taken care of, but glaze shows age but has not been properly cleaned. The original paper on back with instructions is hardly legible but this piece is honestly amazing for a mantle or office collection considering the age. As stated, this style was manufactured from my research in 1900-1910 with these amazing seaside, typical Chinese & Dutch nautical cottage windmill scenes. Item is very heavy, so please understand with shipping to also have proper padding.
