NOT SURE OF WORKING ORDER. BIRD STILL SECURELY ATTACHED, SOME CHIPPING TO THE BALL USED TO TELL TIME. THERE IS NO WINDING KEY ON THE BOTTOM OF CAGE NECCISARY FOR TESTING & OPERATION. MARBLE BASE HAS NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. "Vintage 1950's mid century working automaton bird clock. Caged mechanical wind up clock was made in the early 1950's in occupied Japan (1945- 1952). The bird rotates to keep the time in seconds with a dial pointing to the quarterly and hourly increments on the ball above.
