We have a large number of vintage and antique clocks currently listed along with an equally impressive collection of music boxes and other very nice antique and vintage collectibles.  Be sure to have a look at our other items ! This is a very impressive, large, well made, 8 Day, mechanical Westminster Chime wall clock that was created in "Zeeland Michigan, USA" about 45 years ago by "Ridgeway," one of the finest clock makers in American clock making history. This company is longstanding and owned by Howard Miller which is a double dose of quality. It is equipped with a high quality, German Hermle 140 movement. The case is made of wood, Oak I think, and finished in a gorgeous shade of extra dark oak; very nice! This is one of the most impressive chiming wall clocks I've ever seen and it's been a nice blessing to enjoy in our home. The clock is an impressive size too measuring about 25" at its highest, about 5 1/2" at its deepest point, and about 15 1/2" at its widest point. The clock is fitted with a precision, 8 Day, key wind German pendulum movement. The top is an octagon and there is a large dial affixed to it with a round, hinged, brass bezel and glass convex crystal inset into it; no cracks or chips that I can see. It is quite secure yet opens upward to allow access to the hands to set the time and to the three winding arbors located on the dial. The large metal dial has a white backdrop and features large, easy to read, bold arabic numerals to mark the hours and metal, matching hands to point out the time. The country origin, "USA" is found at the base of the dial. The name, "Ridgway" is found in their familiar signature logo just above center on the dial. The lower part of the case features a thick glass crystal that allows for viewing the swinging pendulum. The name, "Regulator" is inscribed here and the glass slides upward to allow for starting the pendulum and for storing the winding key, if you wish. The wooden back is complete and slides open easily to allow access to the movement itself and for setting the pendulum and releasing the strike hammers after moving or shipping the clock. The clock winds via the arbors located on the dial and lasts for about 8 days on a single wind. And it plays music too and goes through its paces by playing a remarkable four note melody on five metal chime bars at the quarter hour; eight notes at the half, twelve notes at the 3/4 hour mark, and the full sixteen notes at the top of the hour. It will then strike the current number of hours, just like Big Ben in London!  The clock works quite well here, keeps good time, and chimes well too. Keep in mind this is a nice vintage clock and not a new clock. We don't know the service history even though it does show signs of past maintenance but regardless, you may want to service it once the clock arrives at its new home. We always advise our clock customers to service their antique or vintage clocks at least once every three years. If you do this faithfully, you will preserve this classic clock and keep it healthy for years to come. The clock comes complete as shown with a brass metal pendulum and a metal winding key. I've looked the clock over fairly well and find that it shows little signs of use and no damage that I can see. It has the beginnings of a stunning patina and is simply gorgeous on display! This clock is one of the most impressive chiming models that I've seen in some time. It is certain to dazzle you and any guests seeing or hearing it in your home, office, or wherever it is that you care to showcase a rare American timepiece with a fabulous legacy behind it. Bid with confidence; I have no doubt that you will love this clock! If you like this item and I'm sure you do, then I know you'll love the we have listed!  Check back frequently since we're listing a lot of antique/vintage items as time allows! We're selling this item and everything else we list with No Reserve, AS-IS, No Returns or Refunds, and a low starting bid so that everyone has an equal chance to own this rare clock!  We'd be glad to send more pictures if available; just ask!  My wife and I have been accumulating lots of nice antiques and other collectors items over the years.  But now is a good time to start clearing out the things we no longer wish to keep.  We will give the money we raise from Pricetronic sales to a ministry we support that is helping to construct orphan homes and schools in Kenya and China, resettling refugees from the Sudan, and lending assistance to victims of terror like those in Israel.  It's just something we enjoy doing and this is where your money will go once you have paid for this item.  We do all that we can to accurately describe each item to the best of our ability.  Our terms are pretty simple; payment is due on or before the 2nd day following the close of sale.  The winning bidder will be sent an invoice following the close of sale through EBAY Checkout.  Buyer is to pay for shipping and handling; we generally ship by the US Postal Service and sometimes by Federal Express.  An international buyer will pay additional postage and is encouraged to get a shipping estimate from us prior to the close of auction.  In most cases, payment can be made by VISA or MasterCard by calling our office or through Pay Pal in US funds.  Please note that all transactions will be given the appropriate feedback.  Bid often and have Fun!
