MINT SEIKO QXM390BR MELODIES IN MOTION 2021 36 TUNES ANIMATED WALL

This is a nice find of a genuine "QXM390BR Melodies in Motion" animated wall clock that was produced just 2 years ago by "Seiko," one of the finest clock makers in history! This is an animated musical clock with a 3-piece dial that opens and turns during hourly melodies, really cool! The clock is oval shaped and measures about 17" or so high and about 16" wide. It has an amazing design and is made with 13 Swarovski Crystals; very nice! The case is trimmed in deep walnut tones and there is a clear glass crystal inset over the dial; no cracks or chips or signs of wear that I can see. The sides have goldtone floral designs on along with rich columns too and fancy brocades in the upper corners. There is a golden crown near the bottom that is also decorated with crystals and it rotates constantly. The dial has a very ornate center with more crystals and the white chapter ring features large, shadowed arabic numerals to mark the hours and matching golden hands to point out the time. The name, "Seiko" and the phrase, "Melodies in Motion" appear on the upper dial and there is a demonstration button located near the bottom. The back is fully intact and there are two battery cases and covers located here; takes four C size batteries to operate. There is also a knob that allows you to change the time and a volume control located on the back as well as an "off" switch with three options to select "Classic Melodies, Music Box Collection" (A), "Classic Melodies, Crystal Bell Collection (B), and "Christmas Melodies (C)" too. This clock is impressive on its own merit but really comes alive at the top of the hour with music! At that time, and as the animation is constantly engaged, the clock plays one of six classic Music Box tunes in very high quality when selection A is made. And as the songs play at the top of each hour, the 3-piece dial opens and rotates; wow! The songs include: The Four Seasons, Spring, Kanon, Wedding March, Waltz of the Flowers, Radetzky March, and Dance of the Hours. Select B and these are the Crystal Bell songs that are featured: The Four Seasons, Spring, Kanon, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Symphony No 6 Pastoral, Morning From Peer Gynt, La Traviata "Drinking Song," Amazing Grace, The Planets, Jupiter, Waltz of the Flowers, Salut d'Amour, Pictures At An Exhibition Promenade, Dance of the Reed Pipes, Symphony No 9 Ode to Joy, Die Meistersinger Von Nurnberg Prelude, Greensleeves, An Der Schonen Blauen Donau, Johan Brahms Waltz No 15, Sp 39-15, Dance of the Hours, Old Folks At Home Swanee River, Beautiful Dreamer, Long Long Ago, Annie Laurie, Home, Sweet Home, and Etude Op 10, No 3. Select C and these are the Christmas Melodies that are played: aDeck the Halls, O Tannenbaum, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Joy to the World, Silent Night, and Jingle Bells; absolutely fascinating! The song titles are listed on the back of the clock and on the box as well. The clock is very impressive in any number of ways and the music is great and it keeps good time too...I did test it. The demonstration button on the front does play songs when the button is pressed which is a great feature if you want to show off your clock to friends or family before the top of the hour. It has a nighttime feature that automatically silences the music at night which is nice for light sleepers or when company is in town. The clock shows little or no signs of use...and it is stunning on display! It is impressive in size too measuring about 17" at its highest point, about 3 1/2" or so at its deepest point, and about 16" at its widest point. This is an extraordinary clock and will certainly capture the attention and imagination of anyone seeing or hearing it in your home, office, or wherever it is that you care to showcase a rare, highly collectible Seiko musical animated timepiece with a genuine legacy behind it.
