A recent estate find is our rare George Nelson [Howard Miller] style long smoked lucite case wall clock with chrome ball, pendulum, and "weights." The battery operated clock is in fine working condition. Cosmetically, the clock is really awesome! There is a small 1" crack on the bottom of the case which does not go all the way through the case to the underside. The chrome pieces are nice and shiny, though the back of the pendulum , which is not chrome, has a bit of patina. The clock works well. The pendulum swings back and forth. There is a saw-tooth edge on the back of the clock if you wish to hang it; otherwise, it is very stable to stand on its own on a table or shelf. This is a rare Elgin clock which makes a bold, contemporary statement. It is an awesome and fun clock which you will seldom find! Thank you for looking. Note: After the fact, just noticed that instead of a set screw at the top of the chrome ball, the previous owner used a small nail to hold the two halves together, which presumably (?) causes the two halves to not fit together as snugly as they should. 🤔 Almost undectable and clock works as it should. Last two pictures show globe from both sides.
