Ingraham "Shekel" Gingerbread Kitchen Clock Description This clock was made by the Ingraham Clock Company of Bristol, Connecticut. This model name is Shekel. A Shekel is a monetary unit of Israel. Old Shekel was a silver coin, and also used as a weight. New Shekel is all money. One Shekel equals 0.27 cents in US currency. The case is Oak with beautifully carved decor to adorn the front. Lion's head and two figurines made of Spelter. Reversed silkscreen glass done in silver with a Greek theme. Original paper dial with black Roman numerals. Time and strike spring driven 8-day movement that strikes once on the half hour and every hour counts out on a gong. See video below for demonstration of strike. Movement has been completely overhauled and is in guaranteed running condition. There is an alarm that strikes on a bell. On the back is a small label from a Jeweler in Nebraska, probably who worked on it. Beautiful spelter pendulum with floral decor and a silver center.
