Welcome, and thank you for looking! "Ignatz" "The Craziest Clock In The World" The Story Behind The Horolovar Flying Pendulum Clock. 10 page booklet, written by Charles Terwilliger. Originally published as a supplement to the October 1959 bulletin of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, and included in the box with the Horolovar Flying Pendulum clock. This is the fifth reprint in December, 1982. It covers the history of the original Jerome & Co. Flying Pendulum Clock, includes an illustrated parts list, and several pictures of the original clock's styles. The last page is an advertisement for the reproduction Horolovar Flying Pendulum Clock. We stock original replacement parts for this clock. If you need parts, give us a call, or send an email, and we‘ll be glad to help find just the right ones. Describe the parts you are looking for, or email with close up pictures. We will respond with availability and price. Charles Terwilliger called it the craziest clock in the world. It may hold the record as one of the worst timekeepers ever made. And yet, almost 40 years after the last clock left the factory, they remain as popular as ever among clock enthusiasts. Attractive, and entertaining to watch run, this whimsical clock is a real crowd stopper. Perhaps you inherited your clock from a beloved relative, or acquired one from an estate auction, on ebay, or an antique store. You know next to nothing about the clock, but would like to learn more. This instruction booklet tells you about the clock, and explains how to operate and care for it. The booklet contains sections on the following:
History of the Ignatz flying pendulum clock

  • Placement & care

  • Winding the clock

  • Setting the time

  • Operating the clock

  • Regulating the clock
    Replacing the ball & cord

  • Adjusting the superstructure

  • Testing the movement
