I recently received a batch of Hubert Herr movements that were bought by me, as returns to a distributor. They are untested but look to be in good shape overall. I ran this movement by hand and it runs on the strike and time side. My guess is you could clean and oil this and it would be good to go, but you may have to make adjustments.
THE ONLY ISSUE-That I can see is the lower left mounting foot is not as tight as the other three .it can be peened back if you wanted to get it perfect. (Seen in pencil photos) Overall this movement is in very good shape. I would think a good setup and some minor adjustments would get you a good running movement. These are no longer available as herr is out of business. Get this while you can, as I only have a handful.
Be aware that the movement will need to be fit and adjusted in the case you are installing it into.
This movement should be installed by a qualified repair person.
It is common practice to remove the bird perch from your old movement as well as the lift levers and gong hammer and transfer them over to the new movement. You should use your old perch and levers to make the swap much easier. It's best practice to use the old one from the movement that is being replaced.
As is no returns. I say it is for "parts or repair" as there is no implied warranty.
As with all older style herrs you may need to file a minute hand blank so that the hand points directly to the 12 and 6 on full and half hour strikes. (It's a square minute hand shaft with a square hole in the hand) It depends how the square in the hand is filed whether it will line exactly up.
