The clock has not been wound for at least 12 years, the first 10 or so years that I owned it, and wound it regularly it started to loose time it seemed to run about 5 minutes behind. There is no doubt that it needs servicing, I have no idea what that servicing may entail as it has set silent for these 12 years, so it is being sold with the clear understanding that work will need to be done on it to restore it to full functionality. Please do not purchase it if you expect it to come out of the box and onto the wall without a trip to the clock doctor. As I never took it to the clock doctor I don't know what they do or would recommend. The wood is lovely and free of scratches. I apologize for not being able to take better pictures but I cannot get it off the wall without help.
