Item Description Here is a great Vintage Herschede Mantel Clock for your buying consideration.  Would make a great gift or keep for yourself! The Herschede Clock Company was located in Cincinnati, OH.  Moved to Starkville, MS in the late 1950's.  The movement was made in Germany. Nice looking Herschede mantel clock for you here.  Dates to the 1960s to early 1970s.  This is the Jefferson Model, the label noting such is on the back of the clock case.  The clock has a dark stained wood case.  Some loss of the wood veneer on the top back of the case.  The wood finial is missing the back part of the base of the piece.  The case door is securely attached to the case, and the glass in it is intact.   The latch that holds the door in place is there.  The rear door is in place and has the top hinge broken. Good looking paper or composite clock face.  The gold colored hands match and have an elegant look to them. The movement was made in Germany.   The three springs feel sound when keyed.  The clock does chime and strike when the hands are advanced manually.  The clock does not keep running, so the movement needs some attention. So, selling the clock in striking and chiming, but not running condition. The Herschede Clock is 20-7/8" tall, by 10.75" across, by 5.75" wide.  The clock face is 6-1/8" across. Items will be shipped via USPS or UPS Ground , based on the buyer's preference. Shipped on the same or next business day following receipt of full payment. UPS/USPS tracking number will be provided.
