Hermle Platform Escapement 132-071 and 132-072 Ships Striking Clock
These fit on the Hermle's Models stamped 132-041, 132-071 & 132-072 movements sold directly by Hermle as their Ships Bell and House Strike movements. This movement model is also used in Seth Thomas: A207-000, A207-005, A450-006, A468-325, A468-328 as well as the Mason & Sullivan Model 3397X. See also Howard Miller's Maritime Clock made by Hermle for this movement model number. These are all the applications by model number that I am aware of. If you have a Hermle movement not listed above, do not make a purchase assuming this platform will work. Secondly, you need not send me a question asking if it will fit your model number as I do not know. Thank you. New old stock

AKA Chelsea Clock Co.'s #54 Platform Escapement for the Chelsea "Shipstrike" Clock collection manufactured by the Hermle Co. (Germany) for Chelsea. Current production Escapement with eleven (11) Jewels. Every Platform has been checked for quality and performance. Employs the Incabloc "Lyre Spring" above the balance jewel as discussed on page 152 of Chelsea Clocks: A Technical Manual
. Although these are "New Old Stock," some have light oxidation on the platform's nickel plating.

Delivered as shown in a re-usable protective case. We have a few older "Chelsea Shipstrike" and "Boston Shipstrike" dials for this movement as well. Warning : Installation of a Platform Escapement and escapement parts is best left to trained professionals! The phrase "you break it, you bought it" applies to this sale. Likewise, before installation of this platform the Hermle Ships Bell Movement should be completely dis-assembled and inspected for damage such as worn pivots and bushings. Replacing an escapement alone will not correct wear issues in the time side and strike side gear trains .
