French Brass Carriage Travel Desk Mantel Clock with Alarm

This is a French carriage clock with a time and alarm movement. The clock was wound and ran for several hours and continued to run after it was catalogued. The alarm feature was tested by winding the alarm and manually cycling the hands until they reached the alarm setting; it performed as expected. There are no service records and the clock was not tested for accuracy or run duration, so it’s being sold for restoration. This one uses a platform escapement, and it appears to be jeweled. I don’t notice any glass chips and the dial is nice. The case looks good and was probably cleaned and re-lacquered at some point, but many years ago because the clock has a descent even patina. This is a classy, high quality French clock and it’s priced to sell so don’t miss it!
