This is a very interesting time piece! This is an early 1880s Wind-up desk clock with a swinging pendulum. What makes this so different than your average desk wind up clock is the swinging pendulum! The dial is enamel. This clock runs about 30 hours. Since these desk clocks were one of the first ones to have the swinging pendulums, it is about 10-15 minutes a day with timing. The case overall is in good condition with a couple small scratches on the top. On the back of the clock is the winding key (winding counterclockwise to wind) and the setting knob to set the time on the clock. Below the winding key are patent dates that are stamped as followed: " PAT U.S. JAN 28, 1881, PAT ENG DEC 5, 1880, PAT, CAN NOV 29, 1880, PAT GER. JUNE 22 1881". There are no stamps as far has where it has originated from on the case or movement. We believe it is European. This clock has been fully Serviced by Our Master Clockmaker.
