Chelsea Ships Clock Boston US Government Black Bakelite Case M Low WW2

Chelsea Ships Clock U.S. Government black bakelite case in working order. The face of the clock displays the numbers written in freehand, "815668."  Also, "M. (Max) Low and U.S.GOVERNMENT" on the face of the clock. Max Low was a subcontractor in New York, the movements are made of stainless steel. There are nominal scratches evident and wear around the keyhole. Locks fine, the knob is placed on the right side, hinges work well. Overall, the case needs the paint removed in some areas and the plastic cover needs glass replacement. Hallmark on the backside, "CHELSEA CLOCK CO. BOSTON." Measures... Diameter, back  10 1/8" Height 10 1/4" by 10 1/4" Dial Diameter  8 3/8" Front Case Diameter  9" Weight  5 lbs.
