The clock is battery operated, so it will keep the correct time after black outs or power surges. It will also indicate when it's time to change its batteries (requires 3 AAA, sold separately.) This time-keeper gives you the ability to be prepared for almost anything. It offers seven different factory-set time zones (Atlantic to Hawaiian), so you need to do is select your time zone, the clock facing the WWVB signal direction (NIST tower located in Fort Collins, CO USA) and time will automatically set your time and date, accurately. Monitors the room temperature and viewable in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. All you have to do is take a glance, and you will be set for the day.
