This is a Rare Antique Working 19th Century JAPY FRERES Fancy French Victorian Elegant Heavy Black Marble Slate Mantel Shelf Clock made in France, circa 1880. The Heavy Architectural Style Victorian Clock is Made of Black Marble Slate with Inlaid Marble Accents and Designs, Absolutely Stunning!!! The Dial is a Porcelain Dial with Roman Numerals with Ornate Brass Bezel with Heavy Beveled Glass. The Movement is a Japy Freres Round French Brass Mechanical Wind-Up 'Time & Strike' Movement with Cathedral Coil Spring Gong Chime, That Strikes Correctly . There are Two Winding Arbors on the Dial, and It Includes a Winding Key and Adjustable Pendulum. The Clock Measures approx. 13" Tall x 10 1/4" Wide x 6" Deep and is Heavy! This Clock is in Working Condition, But Has Not Been Serviced, Sold As Found! The Clock is in Good Original Condition, As Pictured, with a Couple Minor Nicks, Overall Very Nice.
