Antique Seth Thomas Column and Cornice Weight Driven Clock Nice Working Circa 1885 This is a super nice Seth Thomas Column and Cornice weight driven 30-hour time and strike clock, circa 1885. It measures 25" tall x 15" wide x 4 1/2" deep and is in overall excellent condition. There is a tiny piece of veneer missing at the top right which is barely noticeable (see last photo); otherwise, I see no other defects in the wood case which looks to be maple. The metal dial is excellent and looks original although it's possible it was refinished since it is so nice, no way to know for sure. It has a very nice reverse painted tablet that does have a few scratches in the paint on the inside of the door that really are not seen from the front with the door closed. There is an original label inside the clock in good condition with some staining and a small amount missing at the bottom. It includes the original weights and key and is running very well at the time of this listing. It strikes a gong with the number of hours at the top of the hour. This clock can set on a mantel or shelf or mount on the wall with the addition of a hanger. These clocks are not too hard to find but in this great condition, they are so don't miss out.
