This Antique Mantel Clock from the 1800's, is a true piece of history. Its charming design and on-hour chime make it a must-have for collectors of decorative and functional pieces. The clock, sold by the reputable S. & T. Child company in Philadelphia, boasts an "Old World" style that adds character to any room. Its features include counted chimes for each hour struck, 1-12. Original decorative lower peice that is hand painted and dial. Not sure if wind key is original. There are a few damages to wood veneer as shown in pictures, but still beautiful old clock to display. Two key wind functions, one for time and one for chimes. Chimes on the hour are accurate and work fine when tested. However,"time wind" appears to be "overwound" and frozen to key turn. Believe to be easy fix, as it did work fine when purchased years ago. The dimensions are approximate: 17 1/4" tall, 11" at base, 9 1/4" across front & back upper section, 4 1/2" depth, 6 1/4" across clock face inside.
