Antique Jennings Brother Novelty Dog Clock , Rare Nice Original , No

Up for sale is a wonderful original “Jennings Brother Dog Novelty Clock”. These don’t come along in this condition very often and this came from a wonderful home here in Westchester County New York near where I live and is in great original condition. The porcelain face is excellent with the sweep hand and signed “JB” as is the back of the Iron case by, “Golden Novelty Company of Chicago” and the movement is signed, “Jennings Brother MFG. Co. Bridgeport Conn.” These were sold in and around the Turn of the Century. This clock runs excellent and was serviced and oiled about 6 months ago. These movements were very similar to pocket watch movements and have what they call a Hair spring and after winding you shake them to get them started. These were all 30-hour movements. A nice unmolested Novelty Clock with original patina for your collection. This clock sat in the collection and may or may not require being shaken a couple of times to get it going.
