Outstanding French Marti Blue Porcelain Mantle Clock Description This clock was made by Samuel Marti of Paris France. Marti was a clock maker in the 1800's and in 1863 he joined with Roux and Freres. This lovely little porcelain clock is light blue with cut outs of white on top. Hand painted gold decor painted on the top, sides, front, and back. The front is adorned with a  castle and is mottled with purples, blues, white, pinks... I tried to take photos to show its beauty in different lighting. Gold painted metal accents on the front. On the back hand painted in gold " Made in France". Absolutly gorgeous porcelain dial that has fancy black Arabic numerals, black minute dial, and is hand painted with red, blue flowers with green leaves. Brass fancy bezel with beveled glass. 8 day time and strike movement, strikes every half hour, counts out the hours, all on a gong...Movement has been completely cleaned and serviced and comes with a run guarantee.
