Antique European wood cased
wall clock with chime and a clock face that is inset into a decorative
porcelain that covers the entire front of the wood cased clock. There are two small holes on the clock face,
one just past the six o’clock time marker and the other just past the ten
o’clock time marker. The decorative
porcelain has no chips on its front surface or its sides but does have a few
very small chips on its back edges.
There are a few light wear marks on the face of the porcelain. The
clock’s wood side panels are easily removed for interior access. There is a small amount of damage to the
right side wood panel and all of the clock’s wood panels show some amount of
age related wear. One of the weight chains
is approximately 7” shorter than the other chain, which I assume, but am not
certain, is due to a difference in chain winding. The clock works require a thorough cleaning. THERE ARE NO WEIGHTS OR PENDULUM FOR THE
WALL CLOCK. I assume that the clock
works are complete but cannot guarantee this since I have never operated the
clock. Since I have never operated the
clock, I am also unable to advise if the clock will work when weights and a pendulum
are added to the clock. The
clock’s porcelain front is 8½” long at its longest point, 6” wide at its widest
point and ¼” thick. The clock’s wood
side panels are approximately 4¼” long and approximately 3” wide. The clock’s wood base is approximately 3¾” long
and approximately 3” wide. The clock’s
wood back is approximately 5½” long and approximately 4” wide.
