This is an 1800's Ansonia Brass & Copper Company Brass wall clock. The clock has a unique dial with various colorful hand painted insects. I searched everything I could find and was unable to find a clock that matched this one exactly. The clock case is stamped with a patent date of May10th, 1859. I searched and found this patent was submitted by the clock maker Samuel Emerson Root for the design of the dial and case door. I have included photos of this patent submission in my listing photos. I have had the clock serviced professionally, and it is in good working condition. *Includes the original brass clock key. Measurements: Total Diameter - 8 1/2" Dial Diameter - 6" Height - 3 1/4"
