Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique 1870's Early American GILBERT Cottage Mantel Shelf Clock, made by the Gilbert Clock Company USA . This has a Victorian Mahogany Rosewood Case with Reverse Painted Glass Lower Tablet and Original Label Inside. This Measures approx. 13 3/4" Tall x 11" Wide x 4" Deep. The Clock has a Brass Mechanical Wind-Up 'Time and Strike' Movement with Cast Iron Bell Chime and Alarm. The Clock is Missing the Dial, Pendulum, Winding Key and Hands and is Being Sold As Found for Parts, Restoration or Repair with Great Potential. The Case is In Good Original Condition, as Pictured, with Some Wear From Age, with a Wonderful Aged Patina!
