Rare 1960’s - 1970’s Junghans Electronic Bulova Accutron Desk World Clock Prototype W/ Case
This was a prototype made in the late 1960’s or early 1970’s for Junghaus Electronic / Bulova Accutron. Based on my limited research, I did not see any of these go mainstream.
Very good condition—inside and outside.

Very well made, solid, sturdy, and stable.
PLEASE NOTE IT WORKS WELL AND SMOOTHLY. THE SECOND HAND MOVES SMOOTHLY AND EVENLY, THE INNER WHEEL BETWEEN THE FORK TURNS WELL, AND EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD. THE ONLY ISSUE IS THE HOUR HAND “SLIPS” WHEN MOVING “UPHILL”. THE SECOND AND MINUTE HAND SEEM TO DO FINE, AND IT DOES KEEP GOOD TIME SECOND- AND MINUTE-WISE (AND WHEN IT’S ON IT BACK AND NOT FIGHTING GRAVITY, EVEN THE HOUR HAND KEEPS GOOD TIME). THE HOUR HAND MOST LIKELY BECAME A BIT DISLODGED AND THEN CAME LOOSE. I WILL HAVE IT LOOKED AT OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS AND TRY TO ADDRESS THIS, AND WILL UPDATE THE LISTING HERE. FOR THE REASON ABOVE THOUGH FOR NOW, I AM SELLING THIS AS IS, FOR PARTS OR REPAIR ONLY.
The case is in very good and fully-functional condition. Its “hinges” and latch function well too.
The battery compartment and insides are in excellent condition, with no signs of damage or corrosion.
This takes one D-sized battery, with the positive side facing down (to the lead with the red wire connecting to it).
Approximate measurements:
Clock: 8” Wide X 2 3/8” Thick X 4 1/4” Tall.
Case: 9 1/8” Long X 3 3/8” Thick X 5 3/8” Tall.
The clock itself weighs 4 Pounds 12 Ounces.
