1700's French Provincial Antique Grandfather/Longcase Clock

Description of item for sale : This beautiful longcase clock is from France and it's dated 1780 on its face by the clockmaker.  It's a great runner and keeps very good time.  It tolls out the hours and chimes once on the half hours on a very pleasant sounding bell chime. It's a 30 hour movement that requires winding every day.  The clock case is very solid and, as you can see, is nicely carved with subtle provincial decorations.  It is in very good antique condition with no significant damage, woodworm or dry rot. As we do with all of our furniture, we finished it with a coat of antique grade paste wax that will maintain its beauty for years to come. Dimensions: 102" high, 19" wide and 12" deep.
